3G BBD downgrades your iPhone operating system.

The 3G BaseBand Downgrade (3G BBD) is an iPhone program that lets you downgrade your device to a previous operating system (typically with lower specs). As of March 2011, it downgrades you to OS 2.28, but this changes with updates. This means that some older programs that have not been upgraded to the latest system will work. The flip side is that programs written since the newer systems will no longer work.
