Unless you want to hire a full-time promoter to get people to your nightclub, you have to put in a lot of effort with the entire staff to promote a nightclub and increase profits. Advertising is all about creating an atmosphere your customer base can identify with and give them a reason to be at your nightclub. There are many ways to promote your nightclub successfully, depending on your location and budget. Marketing your business takes time and willingness to change. Be flexible and ready for new ideas.

      Create an inviting and entertaining atmosphere in the club. Make sure there is plenty of seating, ashtrays, trashcans and security at all times. Keep the building clean and professional. Invest in a highly-visible sign with the nightclub's name and possibly coming events with the dates. The business itself can work as advertising for passersby and customers.

      Create specials to attract customers. Inexpensive drinks, reduced or no cover charge and food specials generate interest and keep people coming back without sacrificing profit. Depending on the nightclub's image, you can create special nights every week that will become an event for people who come. Make sure the specials are highly visible in the club and your staff pushes them.

      Plan events at the nightclub that are not run-of-the-mill weekly specials to cater to regular customers and potential customers. Booking a well-known DJ, band or other performance will attract people. Holidays such as St. Patrick's Day, New Year's Eve and the Fourth of July should be heavily promoted with specials, a show or event to attract customers. On these high-traffic days, you must make your nightclub stand out. Utilize social networking sites to generate awareness of the events. Depending on your budget, you can even buy advertisements targeted to people in your area.

      Use multimedia advertisements. Radio and television spots work well to promote nightclubs, as they show the business is aggressively pursuing new customers and have events going on. Befriend local radio announcers by inviting them to the nightclub on occasion. Provide them with drinks and a chance to promote their station while also promoting your nightclub. Create a professional-grade Web site that shows what your club has to offer.

      Deliver quality products and good customer service. No matter how well you promote a nightclub, people will not return if they don't have a good time.
