Instructions for Installing a Comcast Digital Cable Motorola Receiver

Digital receivers take in the feed from your TV service and convert the signal to a format compatible with your DVD. Installing the Motorola receiver for your Comcast service is a straightforward process and you should not have to rely on technical service to hook up the receiver in your home. Use a set of component cables to take advantage of the high definition capabilities of the receiver and your other home theater equipment.

Instructions

1. Locate the "Y Pb Pr" ports on the rear of the receiver. These are the component inputs that connect the receiver to your TV.

2. Locate the "Component IN" ports on the input panel of your TV.

3. Plug one side of the component cables into the ports on the Motorola receiver and connect the other end to the inputs on the TV.

4. Fasten one end of the coaxial cable to the RF jack on a wall outlet that is associated with your Comcast service.

5. Connect the other side of the coaxial cable to the "Cable IN" jack on the rear of the Motorola receiver. Turn on your TV and press the "Input" or "TV/Video" button to scroll through the inputs. Stop when the image from the receiver appears on your TV's screen.
