How Do I Block & Unblock Internet Sites With IE?

Configure Internet Explorer to forbid or allow access to given web sites.

Internet Explorer is a web browser software application developed by Microsoft. Among other features, it offers users the ability to prevent the browser from fetching web pages from chosen web sites. This is typically to keep minors away from delicate Internet content, or prevent employees from visiting web sites not related to their jobs while using company equipment. You can block and unblock Internet sites on Internet Explorer.

Instructions

1. Launch Internet Explorer by double-clicking on its desktop icon. Click "Tools," then "Internet options," then "Content." A new window will display. Click on the "Content" tab, then on "Enable."

2. Click on the tab labeled "General," then select "Users can see websites that have no rating."

3. Block a site by clicking on the "Approved sites" tab, then entering the address of the site under "Allow this website." Click on "Never," then click "OK."

4. Unblock a site by clicking on the line corresponding to the site under "List of approved and disapproved websites." Click on "Never," then "OK."
