How to Use Vinegar for Cat Repellent
Cats have sensitive olfactory senses, and certain smells will keep them at bay. Most cats detest the smell of vinegar, so it makes a great, eco-friendly repellent for your feline friends. Many cat owners use a vinegar solution to keep cats from using couches and draperies as scratching posts. When sprayed around the garden, vinegar keeps outdoor cats from chewing at plants and flowers. Also, spritzing a bit of the solution onto a naughty cat can help teach him or her how to behave.
