How to Reset the Anti-Theft on a Monte Carlo


Model year 2007 Monte Carlos were equipped with an anti-theft system that activates audible and visual warnings when unauthorized entry is detected. Once the system has been activated, it must be reset to turn off the alarms. The anti-theft system can be re-armed at any time after it has been reset.

Things You'll Need

  • Monte Carlo key
  • Insert the key into the ignition.

  • Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

  • Turn the ignition switch to "Start" to start the ignition. The anti-theft system resets as the engine starts.
