How to Measure a Chicken Tenderloin
An essential part of cooking is measuring. Using an exact meat portion for a recipe ensures that you keep the balance of the dish. If you're trying to cook a new chicken recipe, the dish may call for precise measurement of the meat. Place wax paper over the scale surface to protect it from contamination.

Set the meat on the scale atop the wax paper. Notate the scale reading.

Compare the weight of you meat against the recipe measurement. If you need less meat you'll need to cut small portions of the meat off until you reach your desired weight. Alternatively, if your recipe calls for more meat, add small chunks of meat until you get the desired weight.

Tips & Warnings
Excess chicken left over from recipes can be boiled in seasoning, water, a few tsp. of butter and onions to create a chicken broth that you can freeze and use at a later time.
