How Is a Pashmina Worn?
Pashmina scarves, made from fine cashmere wool, are versatile additions to a woman's wardrobe. Whether worn to a formal event or while out running errands, a pashmina adds a touch of flair to both dressy and casual outfits. Pashminas can be worn as shawls, scarves, belts and head scarves, and can even be used as a blanket. Purchase a pashmina in a basic color like black or white that will go with anything, or choose a more dramatic print or bright color to punch up an otherwise basic outfit. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Create a European-style knot for a sophisticated scarf look. Fold your pashmina in half, then wrap it around your neck so both fringed ends hang on your right side. Grab both ends and feed them through the loop in the scarf; pull it tight around your neck. If you're wearing a coat, tuck the ends of the pashmina inside for extra warmth.

2
Make your pashmina into a belt by wrapping it around your waist and tying the ends in a knot. Secure your pashmina with a brooch for a dressier look, or if you have a short or thinner pashmina, feed it through your belt loops instead.

Wear your pashmina as a shawl to keep warm on a chilly evening. Unfold the pashmina to its full size and drape it around your shoulders. If you want to ensure that it does not slip off your shoulders, pull each end of the pashmina under your armpits and tie them together in a knot behind your back. This works particularly well for weddings or other formal events where you'd wear a strapless or sleeveless gown.

Drape your pashmina around your neck so the ends hang to either side of your torso. Glamour recommends cinching a belt around your waist, over the pashmina, to create a modern and unexpected pashmina look.

Add color and interest to a basic black or white top by taking two pashminas of different colors and twisting them together, then wrapping the conjoined pashmina around your neck a few times. Choose pashminas of complementary colors like blue and orange or match hues of the same color like violet and plum.
