How Do I Reset Browser Settings in Windows XP?
The default settings for the Internet Explorer browser are configured during the initial installation. These settings provide a balance between security and functionality. Over time, programs and users on your computer may change these settings to a point that causes security or operational problems. Internet Explorer is equipped with an ability to revert to the default settings. You can reset your browser settings in the Internet Explorer options menu.

Click "Start" and click "Run."

Type "Inetcpl.cpl" and click "OK." This opens an Internet Explorer options window.

Click the "Advanced" tab and click the "Reset" button at the bottom of the window.
