Run any exhaust fans in your home when the rooms are being used. For example, run the exhaust fan in the laundry room when doing laundry and in the bathroom when taking a hot shower or bath. Also, run the exhaust vent when cooking food on your range.

2
Run a dehumidifier near the walls that have condensation buildup. The target humidity to reach to prevent condensation is between 30 and 45 percent.

3
Dry your clothes in the dryer whenever possible. Hanging them up inside to dry will increase the moisture level in the air and add to condensation buildup on walls.
-
4
Install storm windows in nearby windows and throughout your home to aid in surface temperature control, which will help remove the condensation.
-
5
Wipe down the walls with large towels whenever you notice condensation. This will protect your walls from problems like mold, mildew and rot.
