How to Ask Someone You're Seeing Out for a Date
"Seeing someone" involves meeting her informally for social events. Seeing someone can involve meeting that someone one-on-one on different occasions or as part of a larger group. "Dating someone" is more formal and often means seeing them exclusively. It is a more serious stage in a relationship. If you want to step up your relationship, asking for a date will allow you to get to know that special someone on a more intimate level.

1
Find an interest you share with the person you want to ask out on a date. This common interest provides a comfortable way to ask him on a date. For example, if you both are fans of comedy, ask him if he wants to go to a comedy show with you.

2
Surprise her with a clever approach. Buy a box of crackerjacks at a movie and slip a fake prize in the box -- that being a ticket to another movie next week with you.

3
Pop the question about going out on a date in private. Don't put him on the spot in front of a group. If you are nervous, send an e-card to the person asking her out on a date.
