Instructions

    • 1

Measure and pour 1 cup of warm water into a bowl. Mix in 1 cup of white vinegar. Avoid using red vinegar as this can cause staining in surfaces that you intend to clean.

    • 2

Stir the mixture thoroughly for 1 minute and pour the solution into a spray bottle. Place the lid back onto the spray bottle and turn the nozzle to open the spray bottle so that it can spray.

    • 3

Spray 20 to 30 sprays of the liquid mixture on the Elmer's glue to thoroughly soak the glue. Allow mixture to set in for one to two minutes, allowing it to work into the glue.

    • 4

Scrub the glue with an old rag. If you are loosening the glue to remove an object, gently pull the glued object from side to side while scrubbing until you can lift it gently out of place. If you are scrubbing a glue spill, continue to scrub into the glue until the spill is off completely.

    • 5

Pour a small amount of water on top of the glue and wipe clean with a dry part of the rag. This will remove any remaining residue to leave the surface smooth and free of glue.
