How to Paint With Syringes

Standard syringes are valuable tools for painting.

Syringes are a useful tool in your painting arsenal. They provide increased accuracy, particularly when painting small areas or mixing colors. When painting with syringes, it is a good idea to have enough so that you have one available for each color you will be working with.

Instructions

1. Insert the tip of the syringe into the paint and slowly lift up on the plunger to gradually fill it with paint. Make sure that the plunger is pressed all the way down towards the tip of the syringe prior to adding paint to avoid the formation of air bubbles.

2. Fill as many syringes as necessary according to how many paint colors you are working with.

3. Slowly press on the syringe's plunger to release small amounts of paint. If you are mixing colors, add small amounts of each color to a palette until your desired color is achieved. Make sure to mix the paint thoroughly each time you add paint so you can closely monitor the color change and ensure that you don't add too much or too little of a single color.
