How to Change the Internet Explorer Wallpaper

When you start and set up your computer for the first time, the desktop wallpaper may be a picture of the Internet Explorer, Windows or the computer manufacturer's logo. The desktop wallpaper is a picture or image that is used as the background of the Windows desktop. If you do not like the current background on your computer, such as an Internet Explorer logo, you can change it to reflect your style. You need to access the "Choose your desktop background" utility to change the Internet Explorer wallpaper.

Instructions

1. Click "Start," and then "Control Panel."

2. Type "Desktop background" in the search box on the Control Panel window.

3. Click "Change desktop background" in the results list. The "Choose your desktop background" window will open.

4. Click the drop-down box next to "Picture location," and then select a category of pictures from the list. For example, select "Solid Colors" and the list of backgrounds from the category will open in the preview box.

5. Click the background you want to use. Alternatively, you can click the "Browse" button and navigate to a picture on your hard drive that you want to use as the desktop wallpaper.

6. Click the drop-down box under "Picture position," and then select an option to display the background. For example, select "Center" to place the background in the center of the desktop.

7. Click "Save changes." The desktop wallpaper is now changed to the picture you selected.
