How to Update Flash on an iPod

Many editions of the iPod feature Flash support, which allows you to run Flash videos on the iPod's Web browser. Apple only allows you to use tested versions of Flash that are specifically written for use on the iPod. These updates are distributed through iTunes to your iPod.

Instructions

1. Connect your iPod to your computer with the device's USB cable. This causes iTunes to automatically open.

2. Click your iPod's label below "Devices" on the left side of the window.

3. Click "Check for Update" in the "Summary" panel. A list of available updates appears on the screen. Click the "Adobe Flash" update from the list of results.

4. Click "Download and Install." Flash player will be automatically installed and updated.
