Wedding programs give you a chance to show your appreciation to the special people in your lives or who contributed in some way to the planning of your day. You may choose whom to thank in the program, what to say and how long of a message to include.
Keep messages short and sweet. If you want to thank special people, you might write, “To our cherished family and friends, you made this day so amazing for us. We love all of you and feel blessed to have you in our lives.” If you want to thank a particular individual for her contribution to the event, you might say, “To Jane, the floral arrangements you put together look beautiful. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done.”
Tone and Length
When adding thank-you messages, be sure the message matches the tone of the rest of your program. For example, a casual message such as “Jane, you rock! Thanx!” would not be appropriate on a formally worded wedding program. Although you may be tempted to write lengthy messages for everyone, keep in mind the limited space available. Choose short messages for the majority and save longer passages for the people who mean the most to you.
