How to Use Drywall Stilts
Drywall stilts make the drywall finisher's job much easier; painters are fond of them too. Stilts allow a worker mobility while finishing ceilings and other high areas that couldn't be reached, except with a stationary platform. While they add flexibility stilts also require the wearer take extra precautions when moving around a job site. Most stilt are made from lightweight aluminum and can be quickly adjusted up or down depending on a job's requirements. Does this Spark an idea?

Inspect the stilts before use. Check for excessive wear at connection points and for tight bolts, especially the wing bolts used to adjust height.

Position and tighten the tube clamps according to your calf size.

Place you foot on the footplate. Pull both straps across your foot and through the safety anchor slots. Secure the straps with the strap plate and screws.

Lift the stilts completely off the floor and take short, slow steps.

Tips & Warnings
Read the instructions for your particular brand of stilts before using them.
Walk forward only, never backward.
Get help when retrieving objects from the floor.
Replace damaged components before use.
Walk on solid, flat surfaces only.
Do not wear stilts that are uncomfortable or not adjusted properly.
Be aware of your stilts' load limit; do not exceed it.
