Instructions

    • 1

Remove the espresso filter basket located on the left side of the Krups Caffe Duomo machine by turning the filter to the left until it is at a 90-degree angle and pulling downward.

    • 2

Fill the espresso filter basket with ground espresso, using the lines on the inside of the basket as guides for making two or four cups of espresso. Carefully pack the grounds with your fingers to increase espresso density.

    • 3

Insert the espresso filter back into the the machine by aligning the arrow on the filter holder thumb guard with the arrow on the left side of the machine. Insert the filter holder into the machine's brewing head and turn the filter holder to the right until you meet resistance. The arrow on the filter holder should now be on the far right side of the lock range.

    • 4

Open the hinged water lid and unscrew the boiler cap on the left side of the machine. Remove the carafe lid from the glass espresso carafe and fill the carafe with the amount of cold water that corresponds to the amount of espresso in the filter (two cups for two cups of espresso, four cups for four cups of espresso). Pour the water from the carafe into the boiler container. Replace the boiler cap by screwing it on clockwise.

    • 5

Replace the carafe lid on the glass espresso carafe by snapping into the hinges, ensuring that the opening of the lid is pointing toward the carafe pouring spout.

    • 6

Turn the espresso switch to the "ON" position to begin brewing. Brewing will take about two minutes. Once all of the espresso has been dripped into the carafe, turn the espresso switch to the "OFF" position and serve the espresso.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use cold filtered water for the cleanest tasting espresso.

  • Do not remove the boiler cap while the espresso is brewing, as the steam can be very hot.
