  • Gloves
  • Paint thinner
  • Metal can
  • Rags

Instructions

      Pour three inches of paint thinner into a metal can, such as an empty coffee can or paint can. Always wear gloves when handling paint thinner.

      Hold the handle of the brush and place the paint-covered area of the brush into the paint thinner. Stir the brush around, pressing against the bottom of the can to help remove the paint.

      Knock off the last of the paint and the excess paint thinner on the inside edge of the can.

      Dry off the paint thinner on the brush with a rag. Rinse the brush with water and then dry again with a new rag.

      Hang your paintbrush upside down to dry without disturbing the bristles.
