How to Add a Link for Painting Suggestions & Tips

You may have a website for home repair and want to add a link to another site that has painting suggestions and tips. Link building helps your search engine optimization. You can use simple HTML to add a link to your website. People will be able to access the painting suggestions and tips website by clicking on your website's link.

Instructions

1. Access the source code for your site. Position your cursor in the area where you wish to place the link. This could be the footer or left toolbar of your page.

2. Type basic HTML linking code:

3. Enter the Web URL for the painting site you wish to use inside of the parenthesis. After the parenthesis and the ">" character, type in some text. Use something generic such as, "Click here for painting tips." Type "</a>" after your text to finish your link. The whole link will look like this:

   <a href="http://yourpaintingtipswebpage.com/">Click here for painting tips.</a>
