How to Display Bottle Cap Necklaces

Bottle caps from soda bottles can be used to make necklaces.

Bottle cap necklaces are a fun project to make out of vintage or classic bottle caps. The necklaces can be made at any length, style or design, created specifically for each individual. Creating a soda bottle display stand is an easy, fun and creative way to display the necklaces for sale or for decoration.

Things You'll Need

• Soda bottle
• Adhesive
• Pebbles, rocks and sequins
• Measuring tape
• Wire
• Wire cutters

Instructions

1. Find a soda bottle. Empty it of any liquid, and wash it completely. Place it on a towel to dry, and wait one to two days to make sure it is thoroughly dried both outside and inside.

2. Drop a piece of sticky adhesive in the bottom of the bottle. Spread it around so that as much of the bottom is covered as possible.

3. Fill the bottle with colorful rocks, glitter, sequins or fake gemstones. Fill the bottle about three-quarters full, leaving room at the top.

4. Cut a piece of wire that is 3 to 4 inches longer than the bottle. Bend the top of it to form a hook. Insert the other end of the wire into the bottle, and push down until the tip hits the bottom.

5. Repeat the wire step for three or four more pieces of wire. Bend the wire in different directions to form a tree. Hang the bottle cap necklaces from the tree when it is finished.
