How to Keep a Couple's Relationship Alive
When you are in a long-term relationship with one person, it is easy to fall into a routine that involves living your day-to-day lives together without any romance. In order to keep the passion alive in your relationship, you will both have to make an effort to be romantic and attentive to one another. This will allow your relationship to remain long and fulfilling, and keep you feeling as you did when you first met.

1
Schedule regular dates where you get to be alone together and reconnect. Make the dates romantic and fun by doing things that couples normally do at the beginning of relationships; for example, a romantic dinner and a comedy.
-
2
Talk openly about your feelings and desires and then listen to your partner's feelings and desires. Communication goes a long way in keeping a couple close.
-
-
3
Meet your partner's needs and desires in the relationship. If she says that she needs to spend more time together, go out of your way to make sure it happens. Not meeting a partner's needs can lead to resentment and cause you to drift apart.
-
4
Take an interest in your partner's hobbies and participate in them with him. This will show that you're making an effort to be involved in the relationship, even if you don't enjoy the activities that you're partaking in.
-
5
Eat meals together on a regular basis, even if it's just breakfast before you both go to work.
-
6
Say "I love you" on a daily basis. Although this may seem cheesy, not saying it can lead your partner to feel as though you no longer feel that way.
-
7
Make the time to be intimate with each other, despite busy schedules. Make making love feel like a desire and not a chore.
-
8
Remember why you got together as a couple in the first place and keep those feelings alive in your mind. Remind each other about the things you love about one another.
-
9
Take care of your personal appearance. Get dressed up for your partner on a regular basis and avoid falling into the pattern of letting yourself go or dressing only in pajamas at home together.
