1
Hold a classroom decorating contest. Each class or homeroom is responsible for decorating its own room, and the winning class receives a prize, such as a pizza lunch. Judge according to how good the room looks and how much it will raise school spirit. If your spirit week has a theme, also evaluate classrooms according to how much their decorations fit with it.

2
Assign each class a section of the hallway to decorate. Encourage students to make murals, drawings and other decorations to hang on their section of the wall. Ribbons and streamers can also work very well. Make sure each class decorates in accordance with the theme.

If your school mascot is an animal, decorate the school gymnasium with paw prints. Cut large paw prints out of gossamer. Hang them on walls and over bleachers, and place them on the floor outside the basketball court. If you don't have a school mascot, try making gossamer streamers out of your school colors. Twist the colors together and hang around the gymnasium or cafeteria.

Make a large banner that promotes school spirit. You can use mural paper and paint with the school colors to write an inspirational message, such as "We've got spirit!" or "Spirit Week Rocks!" Hang the banner in the school's main hallway or outside over the school's main entrance.
