How to Convert a Pansat 2500 to a Pansat 2700
The Pansat 2700 is the next-generation C-Band satellite receiver in the Pansat 2000 series line and was made to replace the 2500 model. The 2700 model has a few additional hardware capabilities that the 2500 model lacks, such as 2MB of memory. However, the software that the 2700 model runs can be uploaded to the 2500 model to convert it to the newer model with most of the main firmware improvement features.

Plug the USB/Aux cable into the "IF In" port in the back of the Pansat 2500 receiver, then plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

Download the "2500 to 2700 Update" zip folder to your computer, then double-click it to unzip and open the internal folder.

Double-click the Channel Master application icon to launch the program. The application automatically detects the receiver connected to the computer, and loads the programming files and information.

Click the "BIN" folder in the folder listing in the application main window. A new window opens showing the files.

Drag-and-drop the two folders in the "Update" folder into the "BIN" folder. A prompt appears asking if you want to overwrite the files; click "Yes" to continue.

Click the "Reboot" button in the Channel Master application window to reboot the receiver.
