How to Check All the Extensions of a Domain
A domain name refers to the name of a website; this is the address you type into the address bar in your Web browser. Domain extensions are the suffix on the end, like "COM" or "NET." If you have a particular name in mind for a site that you want, but the more common extensions like COM are already taken, you can use some free tools online to search the other extensions to find one that's available.

1
Navigate to DomainSearch (see Resources). Click on the box at the top of the page. Type in a domain name you want without the extension, so "Website," not "Website.com." Click "Select all" under the "Extensions" box and click "Search" to search all the domain extensions for that site.

2
Visit Instant Domain Search (see Resources). Check the box for all of the extensions available on the right, and then type in a name to search. This site gives you an instant listing of availability for those sites as you type the name in. This is an effective way to check multiple domain names for multiple extensions all at once.
