How to Correct iTunes Song Titles

When iTunes imports music from a CD, it automatically searches online for track information including the song title, artist and album. However, iTunes may occasionally download incorrect information. Additionally, if the music is on a CD on which the track information was added manually, the entered information will appear in iTunes, regardless of whether or not it is correct. If this happens, you can correct the song titles within iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open iTunes and click on the "Music" category under "Library" on the left-hand panel.

    • 2

Right-click the title of the song you want to correct in the main window. Click to "Get Info" in the contextual menu that appears.

    • 3

Click the "Info" tab at the top of the "Get Info" window.

    • 4

Enter the correct song title into the "Name" text box. Click "OK" to save the changes and close the window.
