How Can I Make Brown Sugar With White Sugar & Molassas?
White sugar and brown sugar have entirely different tastes and are used in different dishes. Brown sugar itself is typically more expensive to buy than white sugar, but it's not difficult to make your own brown sugar from white sugar and molasses and save some hard earned cash. Pour white granulated sugar into a bowl and sift through it with a fork.

Pour molasses into the sugar at the rate of 1 tablespoon molasses per cup of sugar. Use up to 2 tablespoons to achieve a darker sugar.
