How to Remove a Church Theme Header Banner in StudioPress

Any StudioPress user can change the header banner in her theme.

StudioPress creates and distributes premium WordPress themes designed to enhance the appearance and functionalities of a WordPress running blog or website. With a little knowledge of HTML, StudioPress themes become even more customizable by enabling you to edit templates and page details in greater capacity. By editing the HTML codes in a StudioPress theme, such as the Church theme, you can remove or change any header banner quickly.

Instructions

1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard.

2. Check that Church is the active theme by clicking on "Themes."

3. Click "Editor" under the "Appearance" tab.

4. Click "header.php" on the right side of the screen. Save a copy of the current header PHP code as a backup.

5. Find where the <div id="banner"> tag begins and replace the existing code with the new code for your ad. Be sure to include both the link and image source and check to see that all quotation marks remain where they originally were.

6. Click "Save File" and visit your website to check the new header banner.
