How to Bless Easter Food

How to Bless Easter Food thumbnail
Prayers for Easter dinner should express your gratitude to God.

Easter is a commemoration of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it's also a day to celebrate the hope and blessings that Christians have because they placed their faith in their Lord for eternal salvation and forgiveness of sins. During the Easter meal, a good way to thank God for the food is by saying a prayer over the meal before eating it. The prayers should be short but meaningful and reverent.

Instructions

    • 1

Thank God for your spiritual blessings. Thank God for your health and your family's health and that you are all in a good mental state of mind. Also reflect on the most important reason for the celebration of Easter, which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

    • 2

Thank God for those who prepared the food. Mention the specific names of the relatives who cooked the meals and express your thanks that the food will nourish everyone's bodies and give them the energy they need for the rest of the day.

    • 3

Pray for those in your community who are not fortunate enough to enjoy an Easter meal. Pray that God will send people to them who will be able to give them the food they need as well as emotional and spiritual comfort. Also pray for people you know who are far away from home such as college students and relatives who are in the military.
