A self-propelled mower takes the grunt work out of cutting your lawn.

If you hate cutting the grass, finding it exhausting to push a lawn mower around your yard, you might consider switching to a self-propelled lawn mower. This type of mower essentially does the work for you. A self-propelled lawnmower has a drive system consisting of a belt drive, a gear box and a wheel drive that causes two of the wheels to rotate. Thus, when using the mower, you don't have to exert force to push it because when you start the drive system, the mower propels itself. Does this Spark an idea?

Some models may have a key and an ignition that you'll have to turn. If your model comes with a starter cord, you'll have to yank it several times to fully engage the motor. However, not all models will require this.

Push down lightly on the drive handle, just underneath the main handle. This will move the mower forward, ready cutting your grass.
