Instructions

    • 1

Place the napkin flat on a surface with the wrong side facing up. Bring the bottom of the napkin up to the top to form a triangle shape.

    • 2

Fold the bottom up again, bringing it 2 inches from the top point of the napkin. Make sure that your napkin has a small triangle tip sticking out of the top, with a flat fold for the bottom part of the napkin.

    • 3

Fold the napkin now from side to side in an accordion style fold. Make each fold an inch or less in length, and keep your folds as even as possible.

    • 4

Place the napkin ring onto the folded napkin, sliding it up to the middle. If you are using a square napkin ring, keep the flat part of the holder down, so you can splay the accordion folds out horizontally.

    • 5

Place the folded napkin on a plate, or in a glass, and gently tug the triangles to splay them out. Keep the majority of the ruffles intact, but be sure you can see three separate wings on the top of the napkin display.
