1
Decide on a good location for your ventilation system. A basement is usually a good location if you have one. Place the system near a 120-volt electrical outlet.
-
2
Install a support system for the ventilator. However, if it is placed over a cement or other sturdy surface you do not need to worry about this step.
-
-
3
Use a large saw to cut holes through the outside wall for the exhaust ducts.
-
4
Run this ductwork to a central location, so air can be exhausted into your home. Otherwise, you may fasten it to the intake on your central heating appliance.
-
5
Attach drain tubing to the ventilator and run it to the closest floor drain.
-
6
Connect the ventilator to the nearby 120-volt outlet. If there is no outlet close to where you installed the ventilator, you could call a professional electrician to complete this step for you.
