How to Refill Lighters
Lighters allow you to quickly and effectively start a flame. Many people use lighters for smoking cigarettes or cigars. You can also use a lighter to start a campfire or charcoal barbecue. Always exercise caution when using a lighter. The same holds true for refilling your lighter. Only refill your lighter if the product label states that the lighter can be refilled. Do not attempt to refill a standard lighter intended for one-time use.

1
Allow the lighter to fully cool off before refilling it.
-
2
Set the flame height adjuster to the minimum level. Turn the adjuster clockwise to do so. Depending on your lighter, you may need a screwdriver to turn this adjuster.
-
-
3
Push the refilling valve. Keep it depressed until the hissing sound stops. Position the lighter as far from your body as possible. Turn the lighter upside down.
-
4
Shake the refill can. Press the stem of the refill can directly into the refill valve of the lighter. Hold the refill can in this position for about five seconds.
-
5
Remove the refill can. Wait five minutes. Readjust the flame height valve to your desired position. You can now use your refilled lighter.
