How Do You Remove JELL-O From a JELL-O Mold?
A JELL-O mold is made by preparing JELL-O in a pan, usually in a decorative manner. JELL-O molds often contain fruits such as cherries and bananas, although you can customize them however you like. The pan itself is sometimes also referred to as a JELL-O mold. Making a JELL-O mold is simple, but removing it can be difficult as you have to extract it from the pan and onto a serving plate while still retaining its shape. Dip the butter knife momentarily in hot water. Run the knife around the edge of the JELL-O mold carefully to separate the JELL-O from the inside wall of the pan.

Fill your sink with warm water roughly equal to half the height of the JELL-O pan. Place the pan in the sink with the hot water. Remove it after five to 10 seconds. This helps the JELL-O to separate.

Set your serving plate upside down on the JELL-O pan. Grasp the bottom edge of the pan and the top edge of the serving plate. Hold them together firmly.

Flip the pan and the serving plate over. The pan should now be upside down on top of the serving plate.

Lift the pan edges up carefully to let the JELL-O mold slide out of it and onto the dinner plate.

Tips & Warnings
Before making your mold, lightly spray the inside wall and bottom of the pan with cooking oil. This will help prevent the JELL-O from sticking to the pan. It makes removing it easier.
