How to Raise Christian Purity
Raising the level of purity in your Christian walk is sometimes difficult and challenging when surrounded by all the temptations in life. It is difficult to watch television or see an advertisement without it influencing you in regard to sexuality, dress, actions and communication.Purity is a total commitment to live your life for Christ, not just abstaining from premarital sex. Developing a closer relationship with your Savior is an effective way to battle temptations that may threaten your level of purity. Practicing effective ways to stay pure in your daily life is just another type of habit that you can learn.

Pray every morning and night. God craves communication from his children. Building a daily relationship with him through reading His word gives you a better understanding of what type of behavior is acceptable for Christians. Pray specifically for what you want, such as to raise your level of purity, become a more effective witness to others and every other desire in your heart.

Read your Bible or a devotional book daily. Say a prayer beforehand that God's word will speak to you through his word. Establishing an open heart before reading the Word makes you receptive to his teachings.

Join activities that surround yourself with fellow Christians. Developing these type of relationships helps you to avoid temptation because Christians are instructed to hold each other accountable for their actions.

Flee from situations that might compromise your purity. Whether it is being alone with your boyfriend for an extended period of time, or attending a party where drug use is rampant, removing yourself from these temptations builds up your resistance to the temptations of life.

Talk to a Christian counselor or a Christian mentor about the situations that you struggle with in your Christian walk. She may be able to emphasize and give you ideas on how she or someone else she knows dealt with the same struggles.

Dress and conduct yourself in a manner that is pleasing to God, not the way society dictates. Doing this is often difficult because you may feel isolated in your beliefs at times, but if you don't compromise yourself, your resolve to live a pure Christian life will grow stronger.

Tips & Warnings
Ask yourself if God would be pleased with a certain action, such as watching a movie that is rated "R" or laughing at a dirty joke. Rate your behavior on how pleasing it would be to God, not on your own opinion or someone else's.
