With Flickr, a video- and photo-sharing website for user-generated content, Yahoo! users can upload files from the Web, mobile phones, home PCs and photo-sharing software programs. With different account options, including a free account for the occasional uploader, and an upgraded Pro account with unlimited bandwidth and storage, users can upload and tag videos in a few steps.

      Click the "Choose photos and videos" link at http://www.flickr.com/photos/upload/. Select your desired videos from the file directory.

      Choose your desired video settings for privacy, safety level and content type. Set your video to private, visible to friends, visible to family or public and visible to anyone. Choose either a safe, moderate or restricted safety level. Choose the video content type. Checking "Yes" means your video will be hidden from public searches.

      Click "Upload" and your video will begin uploading. Refer to the box below for uploading progress.

      Add tags, titles or descriptions to your video using the "Add A Description" link in the "Finished" box. If desired, add videos with related subject matter to a set. Click "Save."

Tips & Warnings

  • Free accounts are limited to two video uploads per month. Pro accounts have unlimited video uploads and storage. Free account video files are limited to 150 MB. Pro account video files can be up to 500 MB.
