How to Change a G600 Text Tone
The Samsung G600 cell phone allows you to select between four preset text messaging alert tones. There is no way to set custom text tones, but you can change the selection through the profiles in the phone's menu.

Press the soft key under the "Menu" option to open the main menu.

Scroll down to "Settings" using the four-way directional pad, then press the button in the center of the pad to open the Settings menu.

Scroll down to "Phone Profiles" and press the center button.

Scroll to the profile you wish to change by pressing the center button.

Press the soft key under "Options" and click "Edit," then click "Text Message Ringtone."

Select the ringtone you wish to use for your text message alerts, then press the soft key under "Options."

Scroll down to "Save Profile" and press the center button.

Test the ringtone by sending a text message to your own number, or having a friend send you a message from another phone.
