How to Set Up Tarot Card Reading
The Tarot is the ancient art of fortune-telling that creates a story, complete with past, present and future. A 78-card deck of Tarot cards is used to tell these fortunes, allowing users to look into their own lives and find information they may not have known was there. Properly preparing the area of your reading is crucial as you look to get an accurate telling of your fortune.

Spread a cloth over the table where you intend to do your reading. A black tablecloth will not interfere with the room's energies, while blue, yellow or purple tablecloths can be used for their divination and psychic ability.

Spread gemstones around the table to add their energy to the mix.

Light candles and incense to increase the energy in the room.

Turn off all televisions, cell phones and other noise-making devices. You'll want to avoid having any distractions that could affect your concentration during the reading.

Put all pets in another room. You won't want them interrupting you while you're conducting a reading.

Set the room to a comfortable temperature.

Make sure you're dressed comfortably. If your clothes are too tight, it could affect your concentration and impact your reading.
