Create a character and choose a profession. Kill monsters and pick up the loot dropped. Do this in solo mode so other players do not pick up the gold and items. Concentrate your efforts on one species of enemy at a time. Advance to harder enemies as the character rises in level.

Use identification kits on acquired items. This will often result in an increased sale price. Items in "Guild Wars" come in four levels of rarity. The colors white, blue, purple and gold indicate the level of rarity, with white indicating the most common and gold the most rare. There is some debate in the player community regarding the use of identification kits on white items, as the increased price may not be as much as the cost of the identification kit.
