How to Remove a Separator Between My Explorer Toolbars

Launch Internet Explorer by double-clicking the corresponding icon on the desktop or by clicking "Start" and "Internet Explorer."

Right-click an empty space within the command bar, and uncheck the "Lock the Toolbars" option from the drop-down menu.

Right-click an empty space in the command bar again, and choose "Customize Command Bar" and "Add or Remove Commands..." The "Customize Toolbar" window opens up.

Select all the "Separator" items under the "Current toolbar buttons" column, and click "Remove" for each. Click the "Close" button.
