You can repair a facial steamer instead of buying a new one.

Facial steamers are often helpful for opening up the pores, thereby releasing blockages and draining excess oils from the skin. However, when a facial steamer is not functioning properly, it can prevent the steamer from cleaning out the skin properly. Instead of buying a brand new facial steamer, you can actually clean and repair the steamer you already own. This can save you money and time, allowing you to continue using your facial steamer with minimal cost.

Step 2

Fill the top portion with water again, and pour in 2 tbsp. of white vinegar.

Step 3

Place the top back onto the device, and turn it on. This will cause the facial steamer to create steam that contains vinegar, which will help remove mineral build-up that can be causing the machine to not work properly. Allow the steamer to run until almost all of the water is gone.

Step 4

Empty out the facial steamer, and rinse it thoroughly with water. Refill the top of the steamer with water, then allow it to run for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Repeat this process as needed until the steamer is functioning as it is supposed to.
