How to Resume an Interrupted Firefox Download

In Mozilla Firefox, interrupted downloads occur mainly due to network connection problems when Firefox automatically pauses to await a more stable connection. The browser has a built-in file-download utility that displays all the files that you attempt to download. You can it use to resume any interrupted downloads as well as delete previously downloaded files.

      Click the "Resume (>)" button next to the name of the interrupted download to resume downloading. Finished Firefox downloads usually appear inside the "Downloads" folder located in your user account.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some servers do not allow you to resume interrupted file downloads.
