The HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One offers a printer, fax machine, copier and scanner in one machine. With the scanning option, you can upload old photographs to your computer and save them to websites or email them as well. You can also use this option to save your photos to attach to matching documents. Scanning a picture on the HP Officejet 6310 can be accomplished in a few simple steps.

      Press and hold the "Power" button on the HP Officejet 6310 to turn it on. Ensure the computer connected to the HP Officejet 6310 is also on.

      Lift the cover on top of the scanner and place the picture face down onto the glass. Return the cover to its original position over the picture.

      Press the "Scan To" button on the printer. Select the application you wish to send the scan to and click "OK." Wait for the image to appear on the screen. Click "Accept" if you wish to save the scanned picture.
