How to Mount a Privacy Screen on a Computer
There's nothing worse than working on a project or browsing a website and knowing someone could be watching you over your shoulder. A privacy screen affixed to your computer monitor will help keep your work hidden from prying eyes. Privacy screens only allow the screen to be seen when you are seated in front of the monitor; someone standing to one side can't see what's on your screen. Privacy screens can be mounted with double-sided adhesive strips.

1
Order a screen for your computer, ensuring you get the right size for your particular screen. Privacy screens come in different shapes and sizes for laptops, LCD monitors and CRT monitors. Some manufacturers won't give you a refund if you ordered the wrong size, so choose your screen carefully.

2
Find the double-sided strips that came with the privacy screen. Nearly all privacy screens are attached with double-sided strips. If you can't find the strips that came with the screen, purchase at least four, one for each side.

3
Peel the backing off of one side of the strips and affix one to each edge of the privacy screen.

Tips & Warnings
Look for thick, double-sided strips used to mount pictures on walls. Thinner strips won't have the staying power to keep the screen on the computer.
In a few cases, your privacy screen may be a snap-on. Snap-on screens are designed to fit a particular model or brand perfectly; if you have a snap-on and it is too large or small for your screen, you may find it nearly impossible to mount with strips.
