How to Upgrade a Ryobi Battery

How to Upgrade a Ryobi Battery thumbnail
Get more from your battery by upgrading it from NiCd to Li-Ion.

Ryobi produces a wide range of portable tools powered by rechargeable batteries. Older Ryobi tools used nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries to power them, but advancements in battery technology means that lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries are replacing NiCd. Li-Ion batteries last longer, weigh far less and have greater performance. If you have a Ryobi power tool that operates using an 18-volt NiCd battery, upgrade it to an 18-volt Li-Ion battery; the batteries are compatible with 18-volt NiCd batteries. Does this Spark an idea?
