Instructions

    • 1

Cut off the upper collar of the trench coat with the fabric sheers. It is an option to leave the collar on the coat, but this often makes it more difficult to sew and the hood will not lie as it should.

    • 2

Spread the coat, back up, on a table or counter so you can easily access the upper area. Iron any wrinkles to make it easier to work with.

    • 3

Sew the hood onto the back of the trench-coat's neck. Make sure that the hood is facing the right direction so that it does not come out incorrectly. When sewing, make the stitches as small as you possibly to avoid weak stitches.

    • 4

Give the hood several small tugs to make sure that it does not rip when pressure is applied. When you are certain that it is firm, you are ready to use it.
