How Can I Make My MacBook Louder?

If you are listening to music on a MacBook for the first time and are unhappy about the volume of the small speakers, raise the volume using the System Preferences menu.

Instructions

1. Open the "Apple" menu at the top of the screen and click "System Preferences."

2. Click "Sound."

3. Click the slider next to "Output Volume." Drag the slider to the right to raise the volume of the MacBook.

4. Close the window to save the new volume setting.

Tips & Warnings

• Like other laptop speakers, the speakers in a MacBook are small and can produce only a limited amount of volume. If you are unhappy with the loudness of your MacBook after adjusting the volume, consider purchasing a set of external speakers.
