Urinals are generally thought to be located in public restrooms. However, when you run a business, or if it your job function within a particular company is to keep the restrooms clean, you will at some point need to clean the urinals. This can be an intimidating job, especially if you're not familiar with how urinals operate. However, with just a little knowledge and the right cleaning methods, the urinals will be spotless in no time.
Things You'll Need
- Rubber gloves
- Dispenser bowl cleaner
- Disinfectant cleaner
- Bowl cleaner

Wear rubber gloves throughout the cleaning process to protect yourself from germs and the harsh ingredients of cleaners.
Rinse the entire surface of the urinal with clean water. Flush it once, then run a wet sponge over the surface.

Rinse the surface again by flushing and wiping out with your sponge. Rinse the sponge as needed in a bucket of warm water, and change the water often.
Spray the entire surface of the urinal with a disinfecting cleaner.
Scrub the outside of the urinal, the floor around it, and the plumbing with a bowl cleaner. Scrub the inside of the urinal with a scrub brush.
Flush the urinal, and rinse the outside with your damp sponge. Put the urinal strainer back in place, and dry the outside of the urinal with a towel.
