How to Install a Passport 8500
The Passport 8500 is a radar detector made by the Escort automotive company. It can detect radar on all bands, helping to make sure you do not get speeding tickets. It even has a "City" button for easy on-and-off functions when your travel takes you through a radar-heavy urban environment. Installing it is easy, since it comes ready to use.

Mount the Passport 8500 on your dashboard using the suction cup on the bottom of the device. If it has trouble sticking, wipe the dash clear of all dust and apply a few drops of water to the cup.

Plug the Passport 8500 wire into your car's cigarette lighter. This is how it gets its power.

Turn on the car.

Change the display brightness with the dial on the right-hand side. It has three levels: Dim, Medium, or Max.
