How to Use Wands in "WoW"

Wands in "World of Warcraft" are ranged weapons caster classes can use if they are low on mana or need to reduce their threat. As of the "Cataclysm" expansion, only mages, warlocks and priests can use wands. Once you find a wand to equip, you can begin using it immediately. Once the wand attack is activated, your character automatically begins using the wand until you choose otherwise.

Instructions

    • 1

Log on to your "World of Warcraft" character.

    • 2

Right-click a wand to equip it, if you do not already have a wand equipped. Click the "Spellbook & Abilities" button or press "P" on your keyboard.

    • 3

Click the "General" tab. Click and hold the left mouse button on the "Shoot" icon. You might have to click the right arrow in the spellbook to navigate to the second page to find the icon. Drag the icon to an empty slot on your action bars.

    • 4

Click an enemy and press the "Shoot" icon. Your character begins shooting magic from the wand. You must either move, right-click the enemy or click the icon again to stop using the wand.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also set a key to activate the wand. Press "Escape" while in the game and click "Key Bindings."
